Product Description
Colonel Sir Robert Warburton, (11 July 1842 – 22 April 1899), was an Anglo-Indian soldier and administrator.
This is a particularly interesting piece of history. It is remarkable how contemporary it feels, if you follow a bit what has been going on in the region over the last 25 years the number of parallels is striking. The politicians and military commanders trying to deal with issues at hand could learn from the narrative of the good colonel. If by today’s standards not politically correct, Colonel Warburton gives the reader an insight to the world of the local warlords of the late 19th century.
