Colonel Sir Robert Warburton, (11 July 1842 – 22 April 1899), was an Anglo-Indian soldier and administrator.

This is a particularly interesting piece of history. It is remarkable how contemporary it feels, if you follow a bit what has been going on in the region over the last 25 years the number of parallels is striking.
