The Letters of Benjamin Disraeli to His Sister. 1832 – 1852

After recovering from a disastrous publishing venture early in his career, Benjamin Disraeli transformed his misfortune into a novel entitled Vivian Grey. Later becoming a successful parliamentarian (and eventually Prime Minister of England), Disraeli made an adroit entrance into social circles when he married the middle-aged widow Mary-Anne Wyndham-Lewis. She was later heard to say, "Dizzy married me for my money but if he had the chance again he would marry me for love."
