Grammar of the Punjabee Language

William Carey established the Protestant mission, founding the Baptist Missionary Society and bringing the mission to India. Born into a poor family, Carey worked from a young age, also finding time to educate himself in preparation for a Baptist ministry. Soon after launching his career as a preacher, he began developing doctrines for missionaries, set forth in his Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians. He then established communal missions in India, seeing the Bible translated into over thirty languages and setting precedent for all Protestant missionaries who followed him.
