Correspondance. 1812-1876. Tome 2

  • Author: George Sand
  • The author of a long string of "rustic novels," Sand (a.k.a. Dudevant, Amandine-Aurore-Lucile, née Dupin) was notorious during her lifetime as a "nymphomaniac"; her many lovers included Henri de Latouche, Alfred de Musset, and the composer Frédéric Chopin. Some accused her of being a philosophical chameleon, but the central ideas of Sands's works - particularly her later ones - are quite consistent, deriving mainly from the writings of Pierre Lerous.
