The fact that Joseph Story traveled doggedly throughout New England as a Supreme Court justice did not prevent him from writing the stunning law commentaries which led the Lord Chief Justice of England to dub him "the greatest writer on the law since Blackstone." Prominent works include Commentary on the Constitution of the United States (1883) and Commentary on the Conflict of Laws (1834).
