|Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 - 1788), list of works|
|Renowned for his perfoming abilities (he was reportedly able to make a clavichord sound as if it were sobbing), C.P.E. Bach adapted the compositional style he learned from his father and put his contrapuntal skills to use writing music in the new "Classical" style. He was among the first composers to experiment with writing instrumental pieces using vocal forms and styles.|
