David Perez (1711 - 1778)

Leonardo Leo (1694-1744),  list of works
First attracting public attention at age eighteen, Leonardo Leo quickly gained renown as a master at composing both opera and Neapolitan commedia musicale. Eventually succeeding Alessandro Scarlatti as principal organist at the viceroyal chapel, Leo turned his attention towards the composition of sacred music—which would eventually earn him even greater renown.

Francesco Durante (1684 - 1755),  list of works
Disdaining the taste for opera that fueled the careers of his Neapolitan

contemporaries, Francesco Durante rose to fame as a composer of sacred

music. At the same time, he earned high accolades as the teacher of such

future luminaties as Niccolo Piccinni—a vocation which may have afforded

him some degree of escape from the nagging of his shrewish wife.
