Giulio Marco Bordogni

1789 - 1856

A famous tenor who made brilliant use of the somewhat mediocre voice fate had assigned him, Giulio Bordogni made a name for himself in the opera house but made his mark as a singing teacher. After retiring from the stage in 1833, he settled down to a position at the Paris Conservatoire, teaching students and penning several volumes of singing exercises - many of which remain popular with voice teachers today.
